Jars of Clay Ministries (JOCM), is a volunteer, non-profit “support system” founded in 2003.  Our mission is to find, equip, encourage and connect outreach-minded laywomen. It is our goal to help WELS lay women confidently share their personal faith in whatever life circumstances the Lord has placed them. Whether witnessing to an individual, or leading innovative ministries, support is available at every step.

We believe that is best accomplished wherever the “Body of Christ” is connected and spiritually strengthened.  Within our growing network, JOCM is also a forum for ideas, strategies and resources.  We do this by sponsoring worship/training conferences, information sharing, personal contact and postings to our website: www.jarsofclayministries.com
JOCM also encourages laywomen to organize, lead and participate in spiritual retreats, Bible studies, prayer groups and personal devotions to remain strong in Word, prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit.

JOCM supports and participates in Church and Change, a grass roots organization of WELS Christians who seek to proclaim the changeless gospel in a changing world. We are also active partners with:

As believers, we recognize that the mission field is where we live, work, play and interact with other people.  We can bring life-changing hope, one person at a time by sharing God’s timeless truth with words and the witness of loving lives that reflect this message:

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing
power is from God and not from us.”
2 Corinthians 4:7

If you are already in involved in ministry, your participation in JOCM can help more laywomen replicate or learn from your experience.  In turn, you will be energized and blessed by others.  If God is leading you to meet a special need but you’re not sure where to start, JOCM seeks to help you recognize and confidently respond to witnessing opportunities.  By connecting and working together, we mutually equip, strengthen and minister to our sisters in Christ.
